Empowering Liberian Youths: Mwasnoh Tuan Foundation’s Pathway to Economic Self-Reliance

We are excited to announce a significant collaboration between the Mwasnoh Tuan Foundation (MTF) and the Education Development Center (EDC) through the USAID Youth Advance Project (UYA). This partnership marks a pivotal moment in our mission to empower Liberian youth and foster economic self-reliance and resilience among them.

The USAID Youth Advance Project is a transformative initiative aimed at uplifting 21,000 young Liberians aged between 15 and 35 years in Montserrado, Grand Bassa, and Lofa Counties. Over the course of five years, this project, generously funded by USAID, seeks to equip these youths with the skills and resources necessary to thrive in today’s dynamic economic landscape.

At Mwasnoh Tuan Foundation, we are proud to be spearheading Pathway 1 activities under the Non-Grant approach of the UYA. Pathway 1 is specifically designed to target youths between the ages of 15 and 35 who possess minimal to no literacy skills, ranging from Grade 0 to Grade 5. Our goal is clear: to bridge the gap and provide these young individuals with the tools they need to unlock their full potential and pave their way towards brighter futures.

Through a tailored approach that emphasizes education and skill-building, we aim to break down barriers and create pathways for success for Liberian youths. By focusing on those with limited literacy levels, we are addressing a critical need within our communities and empowering individuals who may have otherwise been overlooked.
